Beloved Durga Chandrasekaran – A Trailblazer in Women's Empowerment

Durga Chandrasekaran, our founder is our source, our inspiration. Her vision in 1995 was truly groundbreaking launching a driving school in Adyar, Chennai, exclusively for women, and being the first woman to run such an institution.

Durga Madam as she was fondly called, became a symbol of courage and inspiration. Her mission was simple yet profound: to give women the confidence to take the wheel, both on the road and in life.

It wasn't just about teaching driving; it was about empowerment, independence, and breaking barriers in a space that was traditionally male dominated.

From a housewife to an accomplished entrepreneur at 37, her extraordinary journey is a powerful testament of sheer grit, belief and single-minded dedication.

She was a LIMCA BOOK of record holder, and the FIRST LADY in India to teach two wheelers with her unique style for both women and men. She featured in every news channel and magazine from CNN, BBC, SUNTV, JAYATV, NDTV, India Today, Femina, Times of India, Indian Express, The Hindu & several vernacular magazines. Interestingly, she teamed up to teach over 5000 women and men to ride a two-wheeler & four-wheeler between the ages 18-75.

A affable and versatile personality, she stood for counselor elections, featured in modeling ads, played cameo roles with accomplished actors like Kamal Hassan and Danush in Avvai Shanmugi & Maari 2 before her passing.
